STAMFORD, Oct 21, 2019 — Candace Hewitt has joined FrameworkESG, a leading Environmental Social Governance (ESG) consulting firm with clients in the Fortune 100 and Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, as Senior Consultant. She will lead client engagements across multiple service areas, including materiality assessment, ESG ratings assessment, investor expectations analysis, stakeholder engagement, disclosure, and reporting.
“Many corporate leaders are turning to questions that more and more of their stakeholders ask about—how does their company avoid negative social and environmental impacts while finding ways to grow, innovate, and create value?” Hewitt says. “These questions deserve thoughtful and authentic responses. I look forward to guiding meaningful approaches to ESG with far-reaching impacts across the globe.”
“We’re so excited that Candace has joined our team,” said Kate Rebernak, Founder and CEO of FrameworkESG. “Her experience engaging with board members and executives on ESG issues will help our clients realize the potential for value creation in addressing their ESG priorities.”
Hewitt worked previously as Senior Analyst, Responsible Investing at Nuveen, the Asset Management arm of TIAA. In that role, she engaged directly with board directors, executives, and investors on initiatives to drive company performance and manage reputational risk through corporate governance and sustainability best practices.
Prior to pursuing a career in sustainability, Hewitt worked as a strategic brand planner for Grey Group and Saatchi & Saatchi, where she performed market research for global brands and coached multidisciplinary marketing teams. She also founded a “Green Team” committee to integrate environmental awareness into corporate culture. Her brand communications experience allows her to both understand client needs at a high level and add value to their businesses.
Hewitt earned a Master of Public Policy from Duke University emphasizing sustainable development and the role of social enterprises, and a BA with Honors in Cultural Studies and Economics from Smith College.
